March 19 was match day for Darin - the day all the medical students find out what residency program they matched at and where they will be living for the next 4-5 years. Tate and I went with Darin to OHSU on the morning of the 19th to watch Darin open his residency letter. All the letters were lined up on a table and when the students were given the okay, they all ran to find their letter and find out about their future. It was such excitement!
Here is a picture of Darin, Tate and our friends Ericka and Sterling - right before opening the letter. To celebrate the news, later that day we went to the Oregon coast!
Darin was accepted to Penn State in Hershey, PA for orthopedic surgery! We are moving to chocolate land!!!

Congrats Linsy that's exciting! I had a friend here in Kentucky that just had their match day, He said that it was pretty much like the world's version of a mission call
Congrats! You are going to be in our country. We will definately have to have a reunion with Marie. Can't wait to see you!:)
Congratulations! We are so excited for you guys. We are sad that we are leaving PA while you guys are moving here....I guess you will just have to come visit us in GA.
YAY!!!! Now all I want is to be your next-door neighbor.
Congratulations, Tim and I have already said we'll have to come see you in the coming years because it seems like such a great place. Congrats on the baby as well!!!! When are you due? That match day sounds so crazy and so exciting. I know a few other couples who found out that day and I was nervous for all of you the night before and I'm not even in on it. Anyway, good luck with your move and let us know how everything goes!
How exciting!!!! Congratulations
Holy mountain man Darin! What's with the nasty beard? Shave it off now! Congrats you guys!
Hey, congratulations! Hershey is a great little town. We're not too far away in VA! Another comment mentioned you're expecting? congrats on that too!
Congrats again! This is getting me all amp'd up for next year...I don't think I can wait that long! I'm sure intern year will be as conducive to travel as our 4th year -so we'll have to see a lot of each other (wink!, wink!). Good luck with the move and we can't wait to see you guys again.
How fun! I've heard about match day and all the fun and excitement. One of my sisters may be moving to Pennsylvania (depending of course upon a job). I guess it's a good place to be. Congratulations to both of you!
How are you liking PA so far?
