Basement

Darin had some time off in December, so he transformed our dirty/cluttered/unfinished/not useable basement into the perfect kid playing zone.

He scored some super cheap industrial carpet. Also, in this pict you can see the white bench he built to cover a water pipe. We can store toys under the bench.

He built a wall and gate to close off the play area from the water heater/ laundry area.

The wall is built out of dry erase board. Tate drew this picture 'with eyebrows and everything!'

Hershey Gardens Winter Walk

I can't get enough of the Hershey Gardens. Set on a hill, it has great views of Hershey, it is always unbelievably uncrowded, and there are really cool events! On Saturday, we hit the Winter Walk complete with ice sculptures, world class carolers (seriously, we are talking Broadway stock, and we are the only ones there listening), free cookies, lots of fun decorated Christmas trees and more!

Trip to DC Zoo - Tate pretty much made this face during the outing. Thought he may be hot/tired/over vacationed/not impressed with exotic animals/traumatized from never seeing his dad. Maybe, but the next day he vomited all over Marie's white carpet (sorry!) - so poor little guy was sick.

He did have fun with his buddies - in matching shirts with a 'B' (for bear hunter) written on the back.
